Turning On The Power Of Good

Turning on the power of good!

Turning on the power of good!

3 Million Hits Are Predicted In March 2013 For THE GOOD WORD!

THE GOOD WORD is poised for an explosion of goodness.  1 year in the making, THE GOOD WORD was registered in April of 2012, it was an after thought to GreenFest.  ”We simply needed a playbill for the concert and it evolved from there”, said publisher Steve Schappert.  Traffic started very slowly as the site took shape for the concert usually 5 views a day up until July when we printed the playbill.  We received 360 views at our peak  on July 24th.

Plagued with setbacks, the site out grew WordPress.com in September as we started using 3rd party advertisers, which began the slow, painful migration to Bluehost.com   traffic started to increase, problems would arise and knock us back down, but we kept moving forward” said Schappert.

Persistence: Schappert has 16 years of web development experience and he just kept kicking it until it worked.  This past week all server issues have been addressed and the site sits on it’s own server, previously it had been sharing a server with 32 other of Schappert’s sites.  ”We are ready for take off! After a year of playing with a basic idea THE GOOD WORD is now ready to take the global stage as a major force in the battle between good and evil“, said Schappert.   You become what you think of and THE GOOD WORD will promote the good things people do to be successful while helping other people and the planet.

How do the numbers look?  In the last 5 days we received 66,456 hits  that tracks at about 400,000 hits a month.  There are 2 reasons for the anticipated surge:

#1 Quality Content: Each visitor visits our site 2.3 times a day, and views 8.46 pages for an average of 15 hits per person.   While the majority stop in for 30 seconds or less to view a quote or short story an amazing 7.5% of our visitors spend over an hour on THE GOOD WORD.  11.6% of the visitors to THE GOOD WORD spend between 5 minutes to an hour on the site.

#2 Contracts:  Now that the server has stabilized and the navigation menu has been redesigned to reflect the top 15 search items on the web, Schappert says, “it is time to turn up the volume”  Schappert has purchased traffic packages that will increase the traffic to five times its current level or 10,000 visitors in the next 7 days.  The Month of March will see another five fold increase bringing the traffic to 3 million hits a month from average of 200,00 vistitors   That’s alot of good!

Where are they coming from?  THE GOOD WORD has a fan base in 69 countries registering views from The United States, Japan, Ireland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Great Britain, France, Russian Federation, China, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Estonia, Israel, Canada, India, Turkey, Mexico, Netherlands, Lithuania, Spain, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Romania, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Brazil, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Luxembourg, Venezuela, Georgia, Philippines, Indonesia, Belgium, Singapore, Portugal, Denmark, Jamaica, European country, Tanzania, Moldova, Pakistan, Uganda, Costa Rica, Albania, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Thailand, Iran, Chile, and Vietnam.

Panelized Homes Will Lead The Way To A Greener World

panelized building systems

“The world has just suffered a tremendous financial set back and as we crawl back to prosperity the housing market will play an important role,  controlling costs, increasing quality an being more energy efficient will no longer be an option.  The green market will be “the market.”   At Panelized Building Systems we take that very seriously and we understand that the only way to bring about change is to make sure healthy and energy efficient is cost effective from day one.  Life is about balance and we are here to help you achieve that balance.” Schappert said this 4 years ago and today it is truer than ever.

Now The Green Marketing Company will be blowing the dust off the old websites and breathing life into the BIOS brand of green, energy efficient homes, by focusing on marketing and lead generation for builders around the world.  Learn More & Watch Video

Spreading Goodness

Life has certainly had its ups and downs over the years. One quote has guided me, “You become what you think about”  Having to recreate myself after the market crash I figured why not keep it simple, I’ll think about good stuff.

The GOOD WORD was born.  Gramps used to ask, “what’s the Good Word?”, Uncle Jim taught me that  people buy from you because they like you and my father taught me everything else about helping others and doing the right thing.

More than ever the world needs GOOD.  I am one but I am hoping the concept catches on. This year, I am asking for your help to simply spread the good word.  THE GOOD WORD  is a multimedia publication that helps people share the good things they do to help others and succeed in business.  Most publications promote tragedy and despair, we offer a breath of fresh air.

There are many ways to promote goodness in the world.  You can make a difference by simply sharing, you can find us on Facebook,  LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, see a  complete list of our media accounts.  You can advertise with us,  You can submit articles about the good things your company does,  You can work with us  and well yeah, as a fledgling business we are also looking for funding to expand our mission of promoting good, green stuff and building The BIOS Center, (a Green Living Museum and our corporate home.)

May the new year embrace you and the ones you love.

Sincerely,
Steve Schappert

Local Marketing Consultant Receives International Spotlight

Aug 9

Posted by

Steve Schappert, one of a handful of marketing professionals from around the world, has been invited to speak on green marketing concepts at Eafit University’s 10th Marketing Congress (Conamerc 2012) September 27-28 in Medellin, Columbia. Eafit University, one of Columbia’s largest, is a highly regarded private university with curriculum that provides students with direct access to the outside world while equipping them with knowledge that legitimizes the human/ethical component, supported by new technologies.

As the featured speaker for green marketing, Schappert will present basic concepts of green marketing, which include, in simplest terms, doing well by doing good.

“In green marketing, companies take environmental, employee, and consumer factors into consideration throughout the product cycle,” explains Schappert, CEO of The BIOS Organization LLC., parent company of THE GOOD WORD and The Green Marketing Company. “Once a company or organization takes those steps, the final outcome is better all around — better for the company, better for the community, better for planet, and better for the bottom line.”

With a no-nonsense, back-to-basics approach, Schappert has developed a unique ability to break down complex concepts into simple, easily understood ideas that make sense to audiences of all ages.

“I developed this ability while overcoming a traumatic brain injury,” says Schappert. “I now learn slowly but deeply, and it forces me to break everything down into base elements, which are easy to convey to others. Once you do that, life becomes easier, and business makes more sense.”

Steve created The Green Marketing Company last August when he combined his passion for the environment with his marketing skills. Projects like GreenFest, The BIOS WaterCar, and THE GOOD WORD have brought Schappert worldwide recognition.  THE GOOD WORD  has registered blogs for every town in CT, every state in the country and for 50 countries around the world.

“It’s a privilege to be sharing the stage with outstanding speakers and world-renowned marketing professionals at Eafit University’s international conference,” says Schappert. Conamerc 2012 gives participants opportunities to know and live new trends in marketing. Other speakers include Mark Ross-Innes from 2E2, a major UK company specializing in customer relations management software;  Carolina Rogoll, responsible for brand building for Proctor and Gamble; and Eduardo Sebriano, general manager for one of the most influential marketing groups in Argentina.

“I have done quite a bit of teaching and public speaking over the last four years,” says Schappert, “Yet, on an international scale, this conference will be a highlight. It reminds me of how small this world is and how we can all come together to make something good happen.”

In addition to initiating and developing THE GOOD WORD and The Green Marketing Company in the last few years, Schappert has taught energy conservation to grades 3-6 at Barkhemsted Elementary School in Barkhemsted, Connecticut; environmental science to grades 7-9 at the Sound School in New Haven,Connecticut; sustainable business practices at Gateway College in North Haven, Connecticut; green building at the 2007  National Real Estate convention, sponsored by the National Association of Buyer Agents in Las Vegas; and advances in science education for a masters level class in elementary education at Yale Peabody.
