FUSION Kid's Bake Sale is TODAY From 3-5:30pm To Help Kids With Cancer

FUSION Kid’s Bake Sale is TODAY From 3-5:30pm To Help Kids With Cancer

FUSION Kid's Club students planted herbs as part of a care package they brought to the homebound last year.

Bethel’s free after-school program, FUSION Kid’s Club, is holding their first annual bake sale to raise funds to purchase supplies to sew colorful pillowcases that will be delivered to children battling cancer in Yale-New Haven Hospital. The students will be working over the next 2 weeks with Homestead Quilts to complete their project.

The bake sale will be held outside on the sidewalk in front of the church, at 141 Greenwood Ave., across from Jacqueline’s Restaurant, from 3:00-5:45pm today, Wednesday, Sept. 21. If you can’t make it to the bake sale but would like to donate to help kids with cancer, please contact Wendy Mitchell at 203-501-7424 or email wendyannmitchell@live.com.

FUSION Kid’s Club runs out of Bethel United Methodist Church on Greenwood Ave. under the direction of Director Wendy Mitchell and her assistant Dawn Schwack, with the mission of serving the Bethel community while creating bonds of friendship and having fun! FUSION stands for: Friends United Serving In One Name.

Last year, under the direction of then-director Bobbi Jo Beers, now Executive Director of the Bethel Chamber of Commerce, FUSION Kid’s Club sent care packages to college students, the sick, elderly and homebound and volunteered their time at the local food pantry.

This year community service plans include collecting donations for Morning Glory Breakfast Program, helping Bethel Social Services, volunteering at the food pantry, reading to Seniors and cleaning up trash at local parks in the area.

For more information or to register your child, please contact Wendy Mitchell at 203-501-7424 or email wendyannmitchell@live.com.
